Vicky qualified from the Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1972 and did a hydrotherapy course in Bath in 1973. She then studied for a postgraduate in obstetrics and gynaecology in Bristol in 1978.

Following the birth of her two children she then worked part-time from 1979. At that time her specialities were rheumatology, orthopaedics and women's health. However she then focused more specifically on women's health problems such as urinary and bowel incontinence and other gynaecological disorders. She also began to specialise in treating men's incontinence problems. The treatment of antenatal and postnatal musculo-skeletal conditions such as pelvic joint dysfunction became another particular interest.

She is a member of the Association of Physiotherapists in Women's Health (ACPWH) and was treasurer and on the committee for 5 years in the mid 1990s. Vicky is also a member of the Chartered Physiotherapists Promoting Continence.

She now works partly in women's health in the NHS and also privately primarily at Litfield House.
